Preparing for travel to India
Vaccinations
In addition to routine US vaccinations, it is highly recommended you get several other vaccinations before traveling to India. Most notably Hepatitis A and Typhoid. Many travelers take Malaria pills. According to the CDC, several of our destinations do have a moderate risk of exposure: Mumbai, Delhi and south India You must start this course of medication before you leave for a certain tolerance to build up. Please consult your Doctor, as Malaria medication may have side effects. The best precaution is mosquito repellent. Zika virus is endemic in India. As with malaria, prevention is key. Take a very good mosquito repellent. We are staying in Western- style hotels that cater to business travelers, so the air conditioning and modern construction prevent mosquitos from attacking at night.
